2017 idesk/neocon
Design/build of the idesk booth for the launch of Crazy Horse chair at Neocon 2017. A minimal concrete aesthetic was requested to contrast and highlight the subtle curves of the American Ash chair. The challenge was to prefabricate all the components and assemble the booth in 3 days. Thin concrete panels were fabricated and mounted to the plywood wall substrate and tongue & groove floor. Floating ceiling panels were introduced to mount pinhead track lighting and speakers. Parts of the concrete panels were carved with text outlining details of the chair.
