Concept and design development of a music lounge where the importance of acoustics dictate the design aesthetic. Sound absorption, reflection and refraction was addressed using state of the art materials integrated seamlessly into the architecture of the space. The iconic glass DJ booth was an important focal point within the space, the Funktion One sound system was integrated into the design by "floating" the speaker boxes within soffits at either end of the space resulting in incredibly balanced acoustics.
