A re-concepting of an urban driveway. The clients wish for a "boutique hotel" experience led to a radical reworking of their home and how they relate to the outdoor space. The modern Ipe trellis structure incorporates Asian thematic elements with 3D backlit panels inspired by Chinese watercolor paintings. Custom architectural features include a dedicated bbq/dining area, work out room, water feature, extensive planting, plush outdoor seating and a sliding TV "lotus"panel, the focal point is a large custom Grapewood "bonsai" installation with integrated succulents.
